On December 22, 2018 Ola School put on a community Christmas program. It started out with a song named "My Christmas List." It was performed by grades K-3. Two students played the bars and the rest dressed up as the items on the list. Next was a song called "Angel  Band." Also performed by grades K-3. The next song was called "When Will the Holidays Come?" It was performed by grades K-6 and two students played the bars.

We enjoyed a play called Santa on Strike that was performed by grades 4-6. Santa was on strike but thanks to the help of Mrs.Claus and Santa's elves Christmas was saved. When the play was over everyone did a community sing along.

We also enjoyed a song called "Christmas Bells" which was played on the piano by Abby Foruria. Next grades 4-6 played "A Symphonic on a Christmas Spiritual" and "Ode to Joy" on the recorders. After the songs grades K-3 performed a little play called " Disappearing Candy Canes." We all enjoyed the  next community sing along as well as listening to Lydia Slade  and Justin Poole who did a duet on the guitar and piano.

The program continued with grades K-3 putting on a play called The King's Christmas Present. The villagers thought the king's gift was useless, but instead it helped them make a new friend and have a merry Christmas. Next was another community sing along and a vocal selection by Bob Lucas.
Afterwards, grades K-6 sang a song called "If I Were a Reindeer."

Then everyone did a basket raffle. We then heard Lydia Slade play "Dona Nobis" on the piano.  At the end of the program grades K-6 sang nativity songs.  When the program was over Santa Claus came! If you have any pictures of the program we would like it very much if you would please send them to the school at adavis@isd221.net  or  jsolem@isd221.net so we can use them in the yearbooks.
