Sick Computers

Dear Community,

Please excuse the break in our blog. The Emmett School District has been suffering from a computer virus that has led to zero usage of any school computers by students or staff for the last ten days. We hope to be back up and running soon.

Our Condolences

Irene Glenn Benge left this world early in the morning of February 11 to find a new dance floor.  She has been a resident of Cherry Ridge Nursing Home for a few years.  She was born and raised in what used to be the Adam's home.  A memorial will be held sometime in March.

Annual Ola Community Meeting

Here are the highlights from the Community Meeting:

-Board Chairman Harry McCaulou and Secretary- Treasurer Judie McCaulou re-elected. Bill Manee and Denny Weaver continue in their roles.

- Discussion on pouring cement on south side of the hall, but board thinks we should add on to existing patio.

- It was decided to leave the flat screen TV hanging above the stage, but build a cabinet that looks like a barn door over it. This will be safer for students practicing school plays. Allen Coburn will build. Nathan McClure and Joy Weaver on Committee. 

- The Ola Community Center is designated as an emergency center for this area. The Board is checking into a booster for the Hall so we can use a cell phone if there is an emergency. 

-Church windows need to be replaced. Church restoration  received several donations last fall for this project. We can start this anytime.

Hi! My name is Hailey. I will be the Editor of the Week. That means that I will be posting and writing all the posts this week. Here are some things about me; I'm 11 years old, and I'm in 5th grade. I was born on January 30, 2005. My favorite food is spaghetti and perch (but not necessarily together). My hobbies are drawing, reading, and riding bikes. My favorite animal is the Labrador dog. Friday Focus

Friday's Focus is on Tiffany.

Tiffany is in Kindergarten and she is six years old. 

   Her favorite day was the first day of school because, "I got to learn new things and then I got to make penguins for the Christmas Program."

   A favorite game Tiffany plays in school is Midnight, "because you get to run away from the big scary wolf!"
